Affiliate Overview

What is an affiliate?

1. Affiliates receive a percentage of the revenue generated from any sale that is a result of their promotion.

2. Affiliates use affiliate links and when someone purchases a product from the link the affiliate receives a commission.

3. Affiliate links look like regular URLs but there is a unique identifier attached to the URL. URL means Uniform Resource locator which is a long term for internet address.

4. All affiliates are given their unique link to the individual course homepages.

5. Periodically, the school offers a sale, maybe a holiday sale. A coupon will be created and offered to affiliates to share with their base. Purchasers can enter the code directly at checkout using the Add Coupon Code box on the checkout page.

What are Cookies?

1. Cookies are used to save information on your computer. On Fresh Learn, a cookie is created whenever a user clicks an affiliate link, regardless of whether or not they make a purchase at that moment. I set the cookie to be valid for 120 days or until the user’s browser cache is cleared, whichever comes first.

2. If someone clicks your affiliate link, leaves and returns another time and purchases something, the sale will be credited to the affiliate as long as the user is on the same device and browser, hasn’t cleared their cache and is within cookie period.

3. Last Touch- Multiple affiliates marketing to the same student. The attribution will go to the affiliate that the user clicked last. This is because cookies can overwrite each other. A newly created cookie will take precedence.

Payment Tiers

1. There are 3 payment levels or tiers

a. Silver

b. Gold

c. Platinum

2. Silver – pays 10 % commission. This is where everyone starts. This is what you earn when you have $0 - $499 sales.

3. Gold – pays 15% commission. This is what you earn when you have sales $500 - $999

4. Platinum – Pays 20% commission. This is what you earn when you have sales $1000 and up.

Affiliate Training Discount (Perks!)

1. You can purchase courses through your own affiliate link and get back your current commission rate. Ex: Silver affiliates will get back 10% of course price. Sales coupons can be applied on this level.

2. After your first sale (on any level), you will be given a PERSONAL coupon code (for your use only) equal to the amount of your current commission rate. Ex: A Gold affiliate will get an additional 15% off coupon code. They will get an immediate 15% off and then 15% back from the final sale price. Additional sales coupons cannot be used. Only 1 coupon at a time. Ex: If a Holiday sales coupon is worth 25% off, you must choose between your personal coupon code (15%) or the holiday sales coupon (25%). Both cannot be used.
